Foley鈥檚 Los Angeles Office Hosts Street Law Program in Partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs
番茄社区; Lardner LLP鈥檚 Los Angeles office recently partnered with the in South Central and the in Lincoln Heights for a second Street Law program.
23 high school students participated in the six-week program that covered contracts, copyrights, and sexual harassment awareness training and workshops, as well as lessons involving a moot trial, negotiations, and investigative training. At the last session, the students received certificates of completion and participated in celebratory graduation activities.聽
Foley鈥檚 volunteer attorneys involved with the Los Angeles Street Law program included partners Nicholas Gross, Ted Rittmaster, and Erik Swanholt, senior counsels Matthew Kiel and Kendall Waters, associates Kaleb Berhe, William Lawther, Savannah Levin, Trevor Mullin, Jordan Smiley, Troy Tessem, Mai-Anh Tran, Cole Waldhauser, and Tam Wheat, and law graduate Kathryn Petrosky.
As part of Foley鈥檚 national partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Foley is committed to providing outreach to the communities in which the firm practices to elevate the powerful message of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and activate the potential of kids, Clubs, and communities to build more inclusive and equitable futures. All of Foley鈥檚 22 offices across the U.S. partner and engage with their local Clubs on initiatives that include mentoring, read-aloud programs, school supply drives, and playground improvement projects.
