·¬ÇÑÉçÇø; Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to UCare, a Minnesota-based nonprofit health plan, in its definitive agreement for certain UCare contracts and assets to be acquired by Medica, a nonprofit health plan headquartered in Minnesota.

Individuals enrolled in UCare¡¯s 2026 Medicaid and Individual and Family Plans will continue to receive services without interruption under the terms of the agreement. The transaction, expected to close in the first quarter of 2026, is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

UCare is an independent, nonprofit health plan providing health care and administrative services to more than 300,000 members throughout Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin. UCare partners with health care providers, counties, and community organizations to create and deliver Medicare, Medicaid, and Individual and Family health plans.
